Having a proper bodybuilding diet plan, commitment and the right information is essential to your success.</p>
<p>Whether you&#8217;re a competitive bodybuilder or just want to look good at the beach with your shirt off: Knowing what resources are available to you will be the difference between months and possibly years. Most beginners put all of their effort towards exercise in the beginning, then wonder why they haven&#8217;t reaped any gains after two or three months of hard work at the gym. While everyone is different: Many of the unsuccessful people out there can&#8217;t tell you anything about their bodybuilding diet plan.</p>
<p>Commitment</p>
<p>Commitment is just as much about what you do with your brain, as how much weight you push up at the gym. You have to commit to eating 5 or 6 quality meals throughout the day, without fail. You may have to eat some things you don&#8217;t like, but commitment sometimes means sacrifice. Eating that can of tuna on your lunch break may not be appealing, but tuna packs some of the highest protein/low fat content of any meat out there.</p>

<p>To help with your commitment to sticking to your bodybuilding diet plan, make your meals a day ahead of time. Protein shakes are best left to be mixed just before you drink them; however you can  prepare your veggies and meats ahead of time, portioning them into containers so you&#8217;re not tempted to cheat on your diet plan. Habits are formed by repetition, so your new diet plan must be repeated several times before it becomes one. </p>

<p>You need high protein, high-quality carbs and a good mineral/vitamin supplement as a base to your plan. There is a lot of specifics that can be found online, or at the book store as you get further into bodybuilding.</p>

<p>Below is a scheduled workout plan that lays out the muscle building exercises that can be followed for effective results.</p>
<p>The base of any workout is the point where you start from if you have a strong foundation, you will go the distance. The first aim of any newbie to body building is build your initial muscle mass.</p>
<p>It takes a lot of effort to the new comer to actually build up the mass. High protein and calorie rich food will do the job for you.</p>
<p>After you have build up some mass, the next stage is strength training which builds muscles that last.</p>

A: The number of calories you should be eating varies by body size. As a general rule of thumb, when you&#8217;re just starting out, you should eat somewhere between 2,500 to 3,000 calories daily.  Make sure that your eating plan includes protein, fat, carbohydrates and plenty of water.</p>

Q: How much protein should be included in a bodybuilding eating plan?<br />&#13;<br />
A: Multiply your total body weight by 1.2 to get the total grams of protein you need to eat in a day.  You should divide this amount equally between your meals and snacks throughout the day.  Protein sources should include lean meats (such as chicken and turkey) and white fish.  Post protein workout shakes should be the only liquid sources of protein throughout the day.  If you do choose to include protein supplements no more than half of your daily protein should come from supplemental sources.</p>

Q: When I am bodybuilding how much carbohydrate do I need to include in my eating plan?<br />&#13;<br />
A: Multiply your lean body mass (your fat free body weight, not your total body weight) by 0.8 to get the amount of carbohydrates you should be eating in a day.  These should be divided between your major meals.  Carbohydrates should also be included post workout.</p>

A good way to make sure you get your EFAs is to include flax seeds, flax oil, are flax meal in your diet.  Another good source of EFAs is fish.  Fish oil supplements can be taken to increase your EFAs.</p>
