Natural Bodybuilding Posing Seminar – Part 2 of 7
Natural Bodybuilding Posing Seminar I attended a posing seminar at J & R Fitness, in Eugene, Oregon. Cecil Philips, an experienced bodybuilder in his prime, coach, and physical therapist guided us natural bodybuilders through our poses. The following Oregon natural bodybuilders attended this seminar: Casey (myself) – middleweight (My first competition will be at the 2010 Vancouver Natural Bodybuilding Championships) Travis – light-heavyweight (Placed 2nd at 2009 Seven Feathers Bodybuilding Championships) Randall – heavyweight (First competition will be at the 2010 Vancouver Natural Bodybuilding Championships) Aaron – light-heavyweight (Placed 3rd at 2009 Seven Feathers Bodybuilding Championships) Al – light-heavyweight (Placed 4th at 2008 Seven Feathers Bodybuilding Championships)
The instructor is funny, lol
Does anybody have a picture of the instructor back when he was young and competing?
hey gus-i meant 195EIGHT Mr Oregon [not '52] sorry Cec-not trying to make you look old!
Cecil Philips was 1952 Mr Oregon and 1962 Mr Northwest[bodybuilding AND lifting] as well as Bill Pearls training partner in the ’50s in San Diego whilst in the navy.He is quite a character and quick to laugh.
It’s never too late to take ballet or yoga. The entire Christopher Newport Univ. football team was forced to take yoga classes at the fitness center on campus and they loved it. Luka Treska is a very graceful and confident poser. I love watching a good poser – for me it’s just as important as the physique.
Thanks! Ya, I’ll check out Luka! I am working on my individual posing routine right now as well as the mandatory poses.
You’re right about it being an art form. As funny as it may sound, I wish I had taken a few ballet or yoga lessons in the past, it would have carried over quite well.
Posing is an art form like dance. I believe you when you say that it’s harder than it looks. Check out Luka Treska on YT. You look great BTW.
hahah.. yeah I heard it takes a lot of practice and the constant flexing is tiring..hehehe but you’re looking like a pro!
Thanks! Posing is harder than it looks, lol
good work!
