Is it important for a bodybuilder and/or strenght training athlete to do direct groin and hip flexor exercises?
Im just wondering if its recommended, and if the professional bodybuilders such as ronnie coleman have done direct work for their groin and hip flexors.

yes, it looks better, and it will also help a lot in stabilizing your core when doing heavy exercises…
It depends on what else you are doing athletically. If you are just lifting than no. It has a high possibility of injury if you do too much weight on it. For being muscular, it won’t really benefit much. Most professional bodybuilders strengthen that area by other indirect methods, like squatting. However, if you are doing martial arts or going for flexibility then it can be beneficial.
