u can hit supersets with the same muscles.
It took me around 6 years to gain 60 lbs of muscle. When I first starting working out it was much slower. When I learned about nutrition and what to eat is when things changed.
If you got it in a year then yeah it’s bs. unless you mean you gained 60 lbs of mass(different from muscle). people gain 15lbs a year a most in terms of muscle mass.

Supersets are two muscle groups; chest and back. ex. Chest press and row
Drop sets work the same muscle; but drop the weight and continue with another set.

Actually, if you are a hardgainer looking to gain mass (i.e. “looking to add 60 pounds of muscle”) you are much better off doing straight sets of heavy weight, low reps- Check out Max-OT style training.
