How many grams of protein should I take in at every meal? (teen bodybuilder)?
Hi. I workout and lift weights every day and sometimes every other day.I’m a 14 year old bodybuilder. Some people say I should have 6 small meals of 20g of protein at each meal. While others say I should have less than 25 grams of protein a day. Please tell me how many grams of protein I should have per day. Also, should I take whey protein as a source of protein? Thanks

In grams, you really only need less than half of your body weight in pounds of protein. If you’re a bodybuilder, however, you’d want to about double that, so around a gram of protein for each pound you weigh.
It’s not a strict rule; I think you can waver from .9 grams to 1.15 grams of protein per pound and the results would be the same. As for meals, I think you generally want about six to eight each day.
it depends. If you want to gain muscle mass then you should take about as much protein as you weigh so if you weigh like 160lbs then you would take 160g of protein a day. As for the whey protein you should definetly get some. I take whey protein and it helps alot. No offence to whoever said you should take less then 25g but they have no idea what they are talking about, protein is what makes your muscles grow if you dont take any then they wont grow nearly as much.
